Meet Jazz Spectrum

A live sound built over decades.

Jazz Spectrum combines four-part vocal harmony with experienced jazz musicians and a history that reaches back to 1980.

Who we are today

Four voices. A full ensemble. One sound.

Jazz Spectrum's identity comes from the blend. The vocal quartet sits at the center, supported by rhythm section and horns that give arrangements depth, swing and flexibility.

For private events, we bring vocal harmony, swinging rhythms and arrangements shaped around the room and occasion.

Since 1980

How Jazz Spectrum developed.

Jazz Spectrum began as an instrumental quartet in 1980. Inspired by vocal jazz groups including The Four Freshmen and The Manhattan Transfer, the group expanded into the Jazz Spectrum Vocal Quartet in 1994.

The group evolved while keeping the central idea intact: tight ensemble playing, vocal harmony and arrangements that reward both serious jazz listeners and guests who simply want to enjoy the music.
